“Right now there is nothing on the market here in Los Angeles that’s remotely like it,” said listing agent Sally Forster Jones. “It’s just the style, the features, the quality—that’s what makes it unique.”

“It’s all inviting and cozy,” she said. “He had a lot of Hollywood elite coming to the house.”

In his decade-long remodel of the rambling old house, Mr. Wright sought inspiration from the Andalusia, a historic 1920s apartment complex in Hollywood where he had previously lived,according to Architectural Digest.

“He has used lots of different styles in the house, but it all feels pulled together,” Ms. Jones said. “He also collects antiques and it’s full of beautiful antiques.”

“It’s very private with intimate areas throughout,” she said. “There are lots of nooks and crannies and private seating areas.”

Other architectural and design details include hand-crafted moldings,bronze-casted heating grates, archways, elaborate chandeliers, cove ceilings, built-ins, hardwood floors and classic columns.
